1. HOW LONG DOES HENNA TATTOOS LASTS?
Depends. Tattoo color depends on various factors like what part of the body, how often the part of the body is exposed to water, how well care was taken while the paste was still on the skin & ofcourse exfoliation rate. That said, tattoo lasts 1-3 week but peak color doesn't last more than a week.
2. WHAT IS BLACK HENNA AND IS IT SAFE TO USE ON SKIN?
Black henna is made up of chemicals (mainly PPD aka petrol - para-phenylenediamine ). It is very harmful & may leave lifelong side effects including blisters, open sores, scars & loss of pigmentation.
3. HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN NATURAL HENNA AND BLACK HENNA?
There are many ways to differentiate both products:-
PASTE COLOR:-Natural Henna paste is dark green or greenish brown in color while black henna paste is black in colour and looks dry.
SMELL:- Natural henna has a strong odor of henna leaves and some of its essential oil that is added to it, while black henna has either chemical or no fragrance at all.
TATTOO COLOR:-Natural henna leaves orange color & start turning dark in 24-48 hrs but black henna leaves a black stain in no time. If you see artists have black spots (instead or orange or brown), it's a hint she/he is using black henna.
TATTOO DESIGN:- Artist cannot make very fine & smooth design with black henna due to the paste composition while with natural henna is all about very minute, intricate & fine designs.

Most private appointments range $10-$60 depending on the size. Could be more if it’s a rather large design. Text me photos of size and style to get an accurate quote. You can also pick a price point and allow me to create a custom piece for you by giving me a general idea of what you like or allowing for total “freestyle!”
Small OR Large pieces can be done at my home studio in Mississauga.
6. WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW TO BOOK A HENNA PARTY?
Party rate is $60 an hour and I have a 2 hour minimum. Text or email the details for your party or event for more info. You can also provide this information via the "Contact" tab above.
7. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE MY HENNA APPLICATION?
Henna takes around 30 minutes to dry so prepare to have the area you want henna’d to be uncovered for at least 30-45 mins.
Make sure to avoid any oils or lotions on the area that henna will be applied.
You want to avoid water for the 24-48 hours so make sure to shower before your session.
For the following day’s shower you want to apply a generous amount of Henna Balm (you can buy it from us) coconut oil, or Vaseline on the stain to protect it from water.
Henna takes around 48 hours to fully darken. It starts out a bright orange and gradually darkens to a reddish/brown, so don’t freak out if it’s light when it first comes off! Just follow the aftercare instructions we provide you after removing the henna paste off.
8. HOW DO I BOOK A BRIDAL SESSION OR PARTY?
Please view “Bridal FAQs” on the menu bar at the top of this page.
9. CAN I APPLY HENNA TO MY BELLY IF I AM PREGNANT?
Yes! I have done pregnant bellies over the years and I can assure you I use the safest ingredients in my henna mix. It is recommended to consult your doctor regarding the topical use of lavender essential oil, but I have never had any problems with this in the past. Most belly designs range $65-$100, please email me with photos of the size or style to get an accurate quote. You can also chose a price point and allow for “artist choice” where I can freestyle the design for you and you can feel free to mention any symbols you would like incorporated. This is a popular choice and many symbols clients have chosen in the past include: mandalas, lotuses, baby feet and trees. Feel free to use your imagination!
I hope this answers your questions
